Torque Converter is the key to achieve automatic transmission and variable speed.Since the1990s, the design of the Torque Converter study has became increasingly mature,but it also depends on the development of design experience as the transmissionmechanism.Software are used to Complete the simulation calculation of internal flow fieldbased on the three dimensional flow field theory.Second,the experimental analysis ofTorque Converter is introduced,the main performance of Torque Converter is analysedthrough the experiment.The main research content is the follows:(1) The modern design method of Torque Converter are introduced. The structuraldesign of hydraulic torque converter is completeted be focusing on variable modeling ofCAD Thedetailed of the torque converter round cycle, design for impeller entrance and exitedge,outer ring, inner ring, and streamline the circle are introuduced.A new design methodfor design of the torque converter can make the product performance be improved.(2) The internal flow field velocity distribution, pressure distribution of torqueconverter and takeing off flow, reflux, the status of the secondary flow is analysed. Thispaper is analyzed by selecting the speed ratio of starting, ratio and efficient workingconditions(3) The composition and function of each part of the test rig is introduced thoughputting up the Torque Converter test rig.(4) The dynamometer characteristics, supply system is analyzed.The test detectionsystem is related to the effect of hydraulic torque converter improvement. The detectionsystem provides support for developing torque converters.
