With the rapid development of economy and the acceleration of rhythm of society in our country,the construction of high-speed railway passenger station has also increased by leaps and bounds.The high-speed railway leisure cultural square,as a transition space between high-speed railway passenger station and urban transportation,is a location for passenger flow distribution and repose.As a consequence,the urban cultural presentation of square becomes particularly significant,as it is designed relying on the abundant historical sedimentation and allows people to wander in the historical context of the city at leisure.Based on the mural wall design project of Leshan high-speed railway leisure cultural square,the paper involves a discussion about how to meet the new requirements and challenges posed in front of the cultural construction of tourist city by the high-speed railway construction in the context of the dramatic development of high-speed railway.Public art plays a role in the context inheritance of the culture of tourism city,as well as the establishment of cultural identity of tourism city and the image of city.Subsequently,the paper tries to address the problem with an instance analysis of the mural wall design project of Leshan high-speed railway leisure cultural square.The research purpose is defined as extracting local regional culture on the basis of mural design of high-speed railway station leisure cultural square with the characteristics of regional culture,highlighting various local features such as local history and culture,folk houses and buildings and so on based on the fulfillment of functional demands of high-speed railway station leisure cultural square,and creating the business card of high-speed railway of new regional culture in China,so as to build the Leshan high-speed railway leisure cultural square into a new city image not only with regional cultural characteristics,but also with the spirit of the time.
