Study On Landscape Design Of High-Speed Railway Station Square Based On Environmental Psychology

With the development of urban transportation,China’s high-speed railway system has become one of the largest in the world.The high-speed railway station often surrounded by bus stops,long-distance bus stations,railway transits,cabstands,public parking lots and so on.As a result,the high-speed railway station front square always become an important transport hub.Besides,it represents the city’s image.Therefore,the role of the front square to a city has become more and more important.Even there are many landscape design cases of the high-speed railway station front square,few has relative systematical design guidance,almost no one has combined with environmental psychology.Thus,the landscape architect can start from the perspective of Environmental psychology to do a scientific and reasonable design,in order to make the square meet people’s physical and psychological needs.What’s more,the design can help to organize the traffic flow to minimize passengers’ transfer distance.At last,a good design can beautify and improve the city’s image also provide more rest space and various public facilities,etc.On the one hand,the author take the theory of environmental psychology as start point to analyze railway user types and their demands,generalized several findings.First,principles about the high-speed railway front square design :safety,fast,cultural characteristics,various functions,etc).Second,design methods according to different landscape pattern,function partition,traffic organization,plant design,regional culture integration.in order to make high-speed front square design to meet passenger transfer between public transportation convenience(seamless transfer),also can have a good spatial and environmental experience.On the other hand,the author take the principles and design methods to guide the design of leshan Po Lin Plaze,specified to the aspects such as landscape pattern,functional partition,traffic organization,plant design and cultural integration.The study based on theory and practice research of environmental psychology and high-speed square landscape design,in order to better utilize environmental psychology to guide the high-speed railway station from the engineering aspects.
