Study On The Aging Of Public Service Facilities In Affordable Housing District

As the global tide of public housing grows,the Chinese government also joined in by promoting the construction of urban social security system.The construction of affordable housing which aims to improve urban residents' housing conditions are being scaled up in recent years.In view of China's social aging and the problems of elderly supporting faced by low-income families,the main supporting method to be adopted by the families choosing affordable housing would be based on home caring and relying on community services.Researching the elderly-orientedness of the public facilities in affordable housing communities plays an important part in improving our social security system,and is also a fundamental solution to solve low-income families' livelihood issues.Field survey showed that the elderly population accounted for a large proportion of the residents living in affordable housing communities,so rational planning of community facilities and medical facilities for the elderly has become inevitable.Using renovation design to make the public facilities in affordable housing communities more elderly-oriented will provide a theoretical basis for the construction of future affordable housing and elderly-oriented renovation of existing ones.It is also a meaningful work that will bring more happiness to not only the elderly but also our whole nation.This article was divided into four parts.The background,purpose,significance and feasibility of this research were introduced in the first part.The second part defined the concepts presented in this article,analyzed communitybased home care mode and the elderly-orientedness of community public facilities with interdisciplinary analysis method and also outlined the underlying theories herein with reference to the related theories and excellent cases.Taking the public rental housing neighborhoods of Xicheng Jiayuan in Changchun as an example,the third part researched the needs of community elders and the status of public facilities using design-survey method and factor analysis method,conducted quantitative analysis based on evaluators' satisfaction degree and revealed the rule of the influence here.The fourth part put forth development proposals in terms of the principles,standards or strategies for the elderlyoriented renovation of the public facilities in the public rental housing neighborhoods of Xicheng Jiayuan,the elderly-oriented construction of public facilities in affordable housing communities,the planning of age-friendly affordable housing communities as well as the establishment of elderly care systems.
