The entrances and exits of urban section of trunk highway under rapid urbanization are not only the important channel to realize traffic conversion between urban roads and highways,but also the important links to solve the highway "accessible"function.The rationality of its setting not only affect the basic service capacity of the highway and the city road and vehicle driving safety,and even will directly affect the entire road network efficiency in the region.In this paper,the Alfalfa Leaf Type interchange of Nanjing ring road Dongyangfang is taken as an example.It focuses on the settings of the interchange entrances and exits between trunk highway and urban arterial road to study adopting the method of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation on the basis of field investigation.The study mainly from the following aspects.(1)Based on the analysis of the composition and characteristics of the traffic flow under the urbanization of the trunk highway,and considering the reasonable technical standards such as the number,location,the form and the spacing of the entrances and exits in the road network structure,this paper put forward the function orientation and principle of the entrances and exits of trunk highway under urbanization.(2)Then,taking Alfalfa Leaf Type interchange of Nanjing ring road Dongyangfang for example,the impact of traffic flow characteristics and related factors of the entrances and exits of interchange,weaving section,etc,were analyzed on the basis of field investigation.(3)Based on VISSIM simulation software,the simulation model of Alfalfa Leaf Type interchange was established based on the prototype of Nanjing ring road Dongyangfang.Then,the influencing factors of the setting of Alfalfa Leaf Type export section,entrance section and interweaving section were analyzed respectively with VISSIM simulation model.And,the main influencing factors were simulated by different combinations of influencing factors.Finally,the reasonable ranges of three main influencing factors which are exit flag setting position,interleaving section length,and entrance variable speed lane length were recommended.Through the simulation test on the influential factors of the entrances and exits of study,the previous theoretical research is further complemented and perfected,and providing a certain reference for the future settings of main highway entrances and exits transformation under rapid urbanization.
