A Study On The Color Decoration Of The Folk Tombs Of The Qing Dynasty In The Eastern And Northern Region Of Sichuan

In the eastern and northern region of Sichuan,there are a large number of Qing Dynasty folk stone tombs to be a special funeral art imitated the traditional construction,which is high,beautifully carved and rich colors.Color has always been an important decoration for the traditional Chinese architecture,frequently appeared in the burial building decoration shaped the wooden structure.There is still a large number of tombs saved,whose color is rich and colorful and makes the tomb architecture presents colorful image.The article takes the color of the tombs to study and discusses the characteristics of the color decoration of the tombs in the area.On the basis of relevant theoretical research,this paper adopts the method of field investigation and digital photography to obtain the first-hand materials and then summarize,collate,analyze and study the artistic value and cultural value of the color of the folk tombs built in the Qing Dynasty.In this paper,the research is based on the following four points:Firstly,studying is based on special historical background—Huguang immigranting to Sichuan.Solemn funeral was popular in Sichuan province in Qing Dynasty,so people built a large number of fine funeral constructions,which is almost remained now and color protection is relatively intact.They are my main research object in this paper.Secondly,when study the color classification of tombs,found that its color is rich style,which bacome to be a rich artistic fun funeral architecture landscape.The appearance of the tomb showed a variety of styles.The color of the specific components and sculpture was abundant and changing characteristics.People,animals,plants had a different color principle.Color techniques used color form mainly and painted form supplemented.The color decoration of burial architectural with rich and varied visual effects,had a high artistic aesthetic value.Thirdly,the color of the tombs is not only rich in the artistic aesthetic effect,but also contains deep cultural connotation.In the application of color,the color principle–five color vision--in traditional culture is inherited.In the expression of color,people strived to build a kind of luxuriant and bold appearance,which reflected a kind of highstatus hierarchy idea.In the region,because they believed that death was not sad,they pursued the prosperous visual effect for the use of colors,which expressed the open-minded vision of death.In the form of color expression,the style of the high purity,high brightness,strong contrast of the folk art used commonly,had the artistic interest of folk culture.The color of tomb can reflect the influence of traditional culture,ritual culture,symbol culture,folk culture and so on.What’s more,the use of color also represented cultural customs and funeral beliefs in the era.In the end,I conduct a concise analysis of the color appearance of the tombs and find that they go after visual effect--the colourful appearance.The main reason for the formation is due to the pursuit of three concepts—delightful funeral,comparisons of the family forces,traditional architectural color,which lead to form the concept of pursuit of colorful appearance.Through the systematic study of the color decoration of the tombs of the Qing Dynasty in the eastern and northern region of Sichuan,I learn the rich and varied appearance of tomb architecture,free and varied application of color,profound cultural connotations,colorful color concept,which show a higher artistic value,become unique architectural art landscape and enrich folk culture in Sichuan.
