The Traffic Organization Planning Based On Valley City

In recent years, with the improvement of city function, the development zone grows very fast and visitors flow rate, vehicle flow rate and logistics are on fast increase likewise, which result in an urgent demand for traffic and expose a lot of traffic problems. Traffic jam is becoming severe in many Chinese cities. To relieve the pressure on traffic, actions should be taken based on two aspects, that is traffic demand and traffic supply. As for the districts whose road network is fixed, neither to add roads nor to extend them will work. So traffic organization and planning is the key to solving the problem. Traffic congestion problem stands out particularly in valley cities due to their specific city structures. Aimed at this problem, this study will put forward feasible solutions and give scientific evaluation on it. This thesis firstly introduces the research results on traffic organization at home and abroad, and then takes the traffic situation of Maiji District of Tianshui city as an example, and further describes the existing problems. Then, the theoretical basis and method of traffic organization planning are described, and the basis of traffic organization planning is also introduced in detail. Through the researching on the theoretical method of traffic organization, the definition, principle and planning scope of traffic organization are introduced concretely, and the correlation between people’s travel behavior and the distribution method of traffic flow is also briefly analyzed. Meanwhile, through studying the related theory on traffic organization method and traffic engineering method to alleviate the traffic pressure, combing with Maiji District of Tianshui City as an example analysis, on the basis of investigation on the current situation, using the four stage method to forecast traffic, the scientific and reasonable traffic organization planning is put forward, which can provide expected reference for traffic organization planning in this region.
