Research On The Traffic Organization And Planning In The Southern Region Of Xi’an

In recent years, with the expansion of the city, urban development zones are growing fast.People flow, traffic flow and logistics are rapidly increasing accordingly, that is why trafficdemand has increased dramatically, and the traffic problems has become prominent. Trafficcongestion has been more serious in many big cities of our country. If we want to ease thetraffic congestion, first of all, we should start from traffic supply and traffic demand. But forthe area of road network structure determined, constructing new roads is not feasible, sotaking reasonable traffic organization method become the most important measure to ease thetraffic congestion.Now Xi’an southern region is in planning and construction. In order to strengthen itstransport links with the center city, ease traffic pressure and reduce traffic congestion,environmental pollution and other traffic problems caused by the unreasonable planning, theresearch on the regional road network traffic organization and planning is carried out in thispaper.In the southern region of Xi’an, more and more obvious traffic problems are caused byrapid development. So this paper selects this area as the research object. Firstly, in this paperthe domestic and foreign research results of traffic organization and planning are introducedand the measures for improving the traffic environment in domestic and foreign cities arereviewed. Then a status survey of the land, roads and transports in the region is conducted,and the existing problems are analyzed. Then this paper studies the regional trafficorganization basal theory, including defining the definition of traffic organization, principlesand main contents and methods. Besides, it studies the traffic demand forecast, traffic capacityanalysis, theory of traffic safety and the optimization of traffic safety facilities in this part.And then combining with the regional overall planning of southern region of Xi’an，citydomain traffic planning, and《Qin-ling overall planning of protect using and development》，《Chang-ning new urban area overall planning》and《The expansion area overall planning ofSpace-base》, the traffic flow forecast of southern region of Xi’an is conducted, as well asputs forward the objectives and measures of specific traffic organization planning. Finally, inview of Xi-feng Road, this paper conducts the traffic prediction according to its background and current situation, and puts forward the road reconstruction planning scheme, conducting ascheme comparison.
