The Research On Adaptive Design Of Interior Space In College Dormitory Unit

College students’dormitory is the main place for students to study and living on campus. Due to the current status of dormitory unable to meet the needs of students and the changing of basic behavioral patterns, as well as differences in students’personal needs, thereby causing problems highlighted and contradictions raised, these all waiting to be solved. The "Zhou Yi copulative" says:"The poor are changed, change the pass, long-general." So, in order to meet the challenges of all of these circumstances, the design of student dormitories should be made to be adaptability timely. By studying the changing needs of the students themselves, as well as changes in demand doesn’t apply to the current situation of dorm which produces contradiction, and based on the research on theory of adaptive design of living space, thereby doing research on adaptive design of dormitory unit interior space to adapt to the current situation and future changes.Adaptability is the ability to adapt to external changes. The paper will study the adaptive design of living space defined in its range. With the progress of the times and social, the needs of students and their basic patterns of behavior have undergone great changes, thus the design of dormitory space also faced different requirements, under the premise of current limited dormitory area, consider setting multifunction space and multifunctional furniture, in order to achieve the transition from the design of dorm space to adaptive design, and improve the quality of students’life. Adaptive design has its own design strategies and practices, which is used in the design of student dormitory to reach the dynamic scalability of function setting and prospective and sustainability of dormitory in future; based on previous research, to verify specific cases from theoretical perspective --taking Nanjing University dormitory Xi Yuan for example. Focusing on the research and analysis of Xi Yuan indoor space environment, according to its existence of specific problems, to doing adaptive design of dormitory space to meet the changing needs of students.The adaptive design of the college dormitory unit interior space helps to improve and facilitate the living standard of living of the students, while also has a great social significance of reality on integration of resources, intensive economy, avoid unwarranted waste and building a harmonious society.
