The Ambiguous Expressions Of "Veranda Space" In The Context Of Architecture Narratology

With the improvement of the social productive force,caring more about the space quality and pursuing better living condition have become a hot interest.The architects try to follow the trend by digging to the source of the space essence,namely decomposing the architecture elememts.The veranda,as an architecture category and symbol,is one of the important elememts of the linear"left over"space to dimaentional-various active elememts,it procides all kinds of possibilities in spatial structure organizing and potential behavior inspiring.The veranda can contain the happening of an incident while at the same time,the time itself can be sensored during the use.In this thesis,after collecting the research results of the architectural summarized and the feasibility of the architectural narratology based narrative expression of the veranda is explored.The similarities of the narratology in literature and architecture compared and the narrative of the veranda space is summarized from a literature point of view.The thesis contains the following four main sections.In section one,which contains chapter Ⅰ and Ⅱ,the problem is proposed at first.The research is proposed and the intention of the research/objective target/method are introduced.The development of the architectureal narratology and the characteristic of the narrative thinking are stated specficly.Also,the possibility of counecting narratology in literature and architecture are analyzed providing the theoretical foundation for the following thesis.In section#2,the problem is analyzed,in chapter Ⅲand Ⅳ.proposing the origin of the veranda by deconstructing the composing elements.Focusing on the feasibility and performance of how to enhance the interactivity of the veranda based on narratology.The proposed problem is solved in sectionⅢ.chapter Ⅴ to be specific.The operating technique of the narrative of the veranda is integrated and categorized into three forms:Narration;prose and poetry.During the procedure,their features are summarized,the narrative plot is abstracted and the specific cases are diagrammatized.Factors co-relation space,path feature,narrative technique,sense judement of veranda narratology are summarized.At last.in chapterVI,the final collusion is drawn.The whole thesis is summarized and the shortcomings are pointed out.The expectations of the development trend are proposed: utilizing other narrative techniques like Montage and Metaphor to design the space;broadening the thoughts;The reverse thinking is employed in space reading.The space elements are analized from a narrative perspective to understand the design intension.
