With the development of China’s social productivity and the continuous improvement of the national living standard,the acceleration of the urbanization process and the adjustment of the industrial structure,people pay more attention to the spiritual needs on the basis of the pursuit of material needs.The cinema of the end market of the film industry is a kind of public commercial space generated by the development of the cultural and artistic industry,and it is one of the Shared Spaces to meet people’s spiritual needs.However,with the development and expansion of the film industry and the real estate industry,the design of most theaters tends to be more and more homogenized.The layout of all kinds of theaters is similar to each other,and the stereotyped design style is boring and uninteresting.In today’s society,people’s growing spiritual needs require that designers of environmental art not only make space design to meet people’s basic needs,but also make design plans to meet people’s spiritual needs.People’s psychological and spiritual experience accounts for an increasing proportion in the design needs.Perception is a process of processing sensory information generated by a series of organization and interpretation of external objects and events.Unlike perception,perception is a meaningful experience process,which occurs after perception and has continuity.It is the human brain’s overall understanding of the external information under the action of external stimuli,and it plays a role in the organization and processing of information.When viewed separately,perceptual experience can be roughly understood as the perception and feedback of human brain after understanding the space or things through perception,and different target groups have different perceptual experience.However,it is an important point in the development of cinema industry to pay attention to people’s perceptual experience in the cinema space.This paper firstly expounds the background of the research on cinema space and perceptual experience theory,sorts out the relevant concepts and development of cinema space and perceptual experience theory,and integrates the theoretical research and achievements at home and abroad.By combing and integrating the domestic and foreign theoretical research results,the application principles and generation strategies of perceptual experience in theater spacedesign are summarized.Based on the above research foundation,the application principle and generation strategy,relying on the kunming beichen wealth center theater project,the analysis carried on the thorough investigation,using the theory of perceptual experience and customer perception demand,by notice to the customer’s perception experience and psychological feelings,for the purpose of strive to go into details of theater space perception experience and make a set of satisfy people’s spiritual needs,different from other ordinary theater design scheme.
