| The electric transmission lines are across the landscape in Gannan, Jiangxi which comprehends less plains but more rolling country and mountains with complicated meteorology. When planning and newly building transmission line they have to cross deeper mountains since land resource decreases and line path becomes rare. From the early stage of transmission line planning, designing, constructing, to later stage of daily maintenance, accident solving, and emergency response, the traditional application cannot meet the needs of modern society due to its high labor intensity, time cost and low efficiency. In recent years, UAV technology has been rapidly developed and widely used in power system which makes up for the deficiency.To guide ropes by UAV in construction is more safe, economical and convenient than by powered parachute and airship. This paper is to study how to guide ropes by UAV and how UAV conducts high strength insulation bridge straddling and cross straddling. Meanwhile this paper compares its economic benefits with traditional man-guided way, and got the result which shows UAV not only saves the investment but also reduces the logging, it protects the environment and prevents soil erosion. Application of UAV in high strength insulation bridge straddling and cross straddling can perfectly solve the problems when transmission lines cross electric circuit, railway, expressway and so on. In addition, UAV can be widely used in transmission line planning, measurement, daily maintenance and accident solving under bad weather. Therefore, to promote the application of UAV in power system can improve engineering quality and efficiency, and reduce cost as well. |
