The Survey And Research Of Bird Species Diversity In Yuqing Bay

Yueqing Bay,having broad coast and abundant wetland resources,is the important wintering areas of birds migration and the distribution areas of Saunders' s gull populations in China.It has important ecological significance for the international migratory bird fauna.The research of the species,quantities and seasonal dynamics of birds has been started from spring 2015 to summer 2016 in Yueqing Bay.The distribution and quantities of Saunders' s gulls were determined through fixed monitoring,using the analysis method of the species diversity index,the research on bird's diversity features and water bird community structure had been carried out in Yueqing Bay wetland.The main findings are as follows:(1)There is 195 bird species in Yueqing Bay,belonging to 16 orders and 46 families,of which 14 species are dominant,accounting for 7.18% of the total species of birds.There is 53 common species,accounting for 27.18% of the total species.Thereis 82 rare species,Accounting for 42.05%;there is 46 rare species,accounting for 23.59%.Within the components of avifauna,there is 83 species in the Oriental realm,97 species in the Palearctic realm and 15 cosmopolitan species,accounting for 42.56%,49.74% and 7.69% respectively.Among which,there is 85 species of resident birds,56 species of winter migrants,34 species summer migrants and 20 species of traveling birds,accounting for 43.59%,28.72%,17.43% and 10.26% respectively.There is 19 species of the second-class national protected birds and 17 species of key protected birds in Zhejiang Province.(2)The seasonal variation of birds in Yueqing Bay shows there is 9998 birds,114 species belonging to 34 families,11 orders in spring,5449 birds,98 species to 37 families,14 orders in summer,6569 birds,112 species to 42 families,15 orders in autumn,7552 birds,119 species to 35 families,11 orders in winter.The difference is very significant between spring and summer and autumn(P <0.01),significant between winter and spring and summer(P <0.05),and no significant between autumn and summer and winter(P> 0.05).(3)The community structure of water birds in Yueqing Bay coastal,the highest Margalef richness index(R)was in Qingjiang river and the highest Shannon-Wiener diversity index(H)was in Puqi,while the both lowest indexes were in the Botanical Garden of Yuhuan County(R = 1.46,H = 0.95).The results show that is related to the habits of water birds.(4)In 13 fixed monitoring spots,Saunders' s gull were found in 8 monitoring spots.Among them,a large number of Saunders' s gulls were found in Yongqiang,Lingkun and Yuecheng.The average species was 23,the average individual number was 4610 in the spots with Saunders' s gull;and the average species was 15,the average individual number was 1132 in the spots without Saunders' s gull.The species and the individual number of the birds in the monitoring spots with Saunders' s gulls were higher than the spots without.
