With the development of social economy, more and more manufacturing enterprises have realized the necessity of abandoning the traditional closed vertical thinking-based management mode, and combine supply chain management model, namely lateral thinking, with productionplanningandcontrol in order to cut down operating costs, speed up the capital flow, response to customer demand quickly and improve management level and enterprises’ competitiveness.Based on supply chain management model, the production planning and control moves from the past vertical thinking to the lateral and open thinking. Compared with the traditional one, new model differs obviously from it in many aspects such as the theoretical basis, productionrequirement, plan decision model, the means of production control and the running environment, etc.Supply chain management emphasizes the establishment of strategic relations between the core enterprise and other relevant enterprises. With the global economy systematization, nowadays enterprises hardly adopt the past management model that enterprises depend on themselves to design, product and sale. Competitiveness can be enhanced together only if an enterprise cooperates with the others and they complementeachother’sadvantages.Equipment manufacturing enterprises’ production planning in the supply chain mode was mainly researched in this paper, and introduces the present research status of the supply chain management and production planning and control at home and abroad. Also, this paper introduces briefly the development of supply chain management theory and the production planning and control object, management content and operating benchmark mode.This paper discusses that since enterprises, which have strategic relations with the core enterprise, have been an indispensable part of the core enterprise’s resources due to the intense cooperation in material flow, information flow and capital flow. Based on the supply chain model, the core enterprise is faced with problems on flexible constraints, productionschedule and production capacity in the process of making production plans and controlling. And for the core enterprise, the ability of dealing with unexpected events is essential, therefore, the production process, data mode, information systems and infrastructure of every relevant enterprise on the supply chain have to operate together seamlessly, in order to realize production synchronization, production and meet the requirements of resource sharing.According to the operation mode and characteristics of production planning in the context of supply chain, this paper made an introduction to manufacturing enterprises’ production, the fundamental aim, and order, the ultimate goal, proposing to strengthen order management and control order change, so that various enterprises and departments should dovetail and cooperate with each other in the process of order management. According to different product requirements, this paper briefly discussed how manufacturing enterprises should select an appropriate supply chain operation mode, and introduced push-type supply chain and pull-type supply chain, two basic operation types of supply chain in the supply chain management mode. Both modes drive intra-department and other corporate activities by order, namely the principle of order-driven supply chain. By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of these two modes, this paper expounded the superiority of push-pull supply chain, and from the perspective of "customer demand point" (order), it divided supply chain into two stages:push stage and pull stage. The integration of these two modes enables enterprises not only to make a quick response to the market and reduce inventory, but also to maintain the scale economy and lower the implementation difficulty. The only difference in supply chain mode between different enterprises is that push and pull hold different proportions.On the above theoretical basis, this paper discussed manufacturing enterprises’different production types, took A Equipment Manufacture Enterprise, which produces highly homogeneous products in large batches, as an object of study to research such enterprises’ production planning in the supply chain mode, built a business outsourcing system model and calculation example for production planning, and expounded the advantages and management requirements of business outsourcing, providing an idea for such enterprises to solve the problem of production planning cost increase in case of a sharp increase in customer demand.
