With the rapid development of Chinese commodity economy, the specialized markets started from the original stage of extensive management into the standardized management, and now become an important bridge between the production and consumption. Specialized markets have withdrawn from the history of economic stage in the west, but they are one of the important driving forces of regional economic development in our country. Chinese specialized market development is insufficient when facing the global economic recession, falling demand, e-commerce and other forms of oppression. How to enhance the competitiveness of specialized market in order to meet the needs of our social and economic development is urgently essential to study.This article takes the research of specialized market competitiveness as the main line. First of all, the author combed the academic paper about specialized market and competitiveness. After have an understanding on the concept of specialized market and competitiveness, the concept of specialized market competitiveness is put forward. Then, the author developed an evaluation index system of specialized market based on "horn funnel" model of the commodity market competitiveness and some relevant indicators have been established by the academia. The author selected 20 indexes from four aspects from the regional environment, attraction ability, service level and business performance in the scientific, systematic, and some other principles, which determine the evaluation index system of specialized markets competitiveness.Then, we got the index weights from the expert scores by “1 ~ 9 scale table” and Analytic Network Process. Among them, the government preferential policies have the largest proportion in the overall weight, followed by the market share. The factors which have influence on the market competitiveness are the market management system perfect degree, public praise and reputation, service consciousness and efficiency of management, warehousing services, transportation services, market information update frequency, the market turnover, network facilities, etc.Finally, the author selected four of the top 50 specialized markets in China as the study objects. According to the index weight calculated from ANP method and empirical datas to analyse specialized market competitive power. The results show:In terms of regional environment, the Eastern silk market is the first, the Light & Textile market is the second, the China Commodities market is the third and the last one is Haining Leather market. In terms of attraction ability, the China Commodities market is the first, the Light & Textile market and Eastern silk market tied for second, Haining Leather market is the third one. On the service level, the first one is the Light & Textile market, the second one is the China Commodities market, the third one is the Eastern silk market and Haining Leather market is the fourth. In terms of business performance, the China Commodities market account for the first, Haining Leather market is the second, the Eastern silk market and Light & Textile market tied for third. In the comprehensive competitiveness, the Light & Textile market competitive ability is the strongest, and the second is the China Commodities market, the third one is Eastern silk market, and compared with above 3 specialized markets Haining Leather market competitive ability is the weakest.In the end, to improve the competitive ability of specialized market, some suggestions are put forward, such as optimizing the economy environment of market, improving management level and the coordination mechanism of market interest, constructing logistics center and the facility of market information flow, paying attention to the relationship management with enterprise; building electronic commerce platform and implement e-suppliers training.
