As a special kind of economic phenomenon, the specialized market haswithdrawn from the economic field in the western developed countries.However, it is still an important factor in the development of regional economyin our country, and we have to face the problem of slow growth and insufficientdevelopment. It has been an urgent research to find out the way of making thespecialized market to meet the needs of social development, by improving theefficiency of it and promoting transformation and upgrading it.Firstly, this paper analyses and summarizes the relationship between thespecialized market and transaction efficiency with the support of transaction costtheory, after reading literatures about the specialized market. Secondly, theauthor analyses the development history of the specialized market, andconcludes three stages that it has went through, which are market place,specialized market, and mordern specialized market. He finds that thetransaction market develops along the specific road, and compares the costsaved by each stages. Then the thesis takes Guangzhou Liuhua market as anexample to find out the basic information, development history, and formingreason of the specialized market. What’s more, the author analyses thetransaction efficiency in Liuhua market with the DEA model, and finds out thatthe markets in Liuhua are not so efficient, and the factors input are not full used.The operating profit margin makes no sense with the brand number they ownthemselves, and the market ownership makes no sense with the transactionefficiency. At last, the thesis suggests that we should develop e-commerce andestablish domestic brands, so as to make efforts to the economic development ofour country.
