As the rapid economic development, people’s living pressure is also increasing, sub-health population is increasing, coupled with ageing population, people pay more attention to their health. The tourism industry shifts from the direction of traditional sightseeing tourism to the direction of leisure vacation and health care. TCM has its unique advantages in health care, which can meet the needs of people for health care. TCM wellness tourism is becoming increasingly popular that it has broad market potential and good prospects for development How to exploit TCM wellness tourism scientifically and rationally to make it meet the public’s multiple requirements for leisure entertainment, health care and so on, attract more tourists, create more economic and social value, is the main problem studied in the paper.The paper includes seven parts, the first part, the paper briefly elaborated this article’s research background and significance, and combed the related research status of TCM wellness tourism at home and abroad; The second part, the paper mainly introduced the related concepts and theories of TCM wellness tourism; The third part, the paper analyzed factors influencing the tourists’decision-making and spending plans of TCM wellness tourism by using the method of factor analysis and multivariate variance analysis based on the questionnaire survey. The fourth part, the paper analyzed the market of the TCM wellness tourism province through the SWOT analysis method. The fifth part, the paper analyzed the present situation of product development of the TCM wellness tourism product development, proposed product development objectives, principles and scheme; The sixth part, the paper put forward some countermeasures of developing the TCM wellness tourism according to the empirical analysis of the questionnaire survey and the result of SWOT analysis; The seventh part, the paper analyzed the TCM wellness tourism in Anhui as a specific case; The eighth part,the paper summarized the full paper, pointed out the deficiencies and the direction of further research of this paper.
