As the coordinative development of politics, economy, society, culture and ecosystem becomes China’s national strategy, all of these five areas are in prosperity. And the tourism industry, which is defined as the national strategic pillar industry, develops even more quickly. However, the traditional sightseeing tour can no longer meet the tourists’demands. One obvious phenomenon is:driven by the social psychology of pursuing happiness, people are paying more attention to personal health, which makes regimen gain popularity among Chinese people. Meanwhile, the wellness tourism products, which are relevant to regimen, are becoming more and more popular in the tourism market, and the wellness tourism industry is developing rapidly. From this breakthrough point, we can reveal and activate the industrial function, and motivate the overall promotion and transformation of the local tourism. Such good example exists in the middle part of Zhejiang Province (short for Central Zhejiang below).Through studying, this paper presents that if the cultural element of wellness can be introduced to Central Zhejiang, and be combined with the local wellness resources, we can conduct an integrated development to the wellness tourism products in this region, so that we can make better use of advantageous resources and promote the sustainable development of local tourism in the way of letting one unit guide a whole area. The author argues, after using the wellness theme, the styles of tourism products in Central Zhejiang will become richer and more colorful, which will set up a multi-dimensional structure, and bring an expected all-around positive and effective influence to local development.In this paper, the author, considering the situation, tries to start with the environmental analysis and to grasp the situations of the rapid development of wellness tourism and the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry in Central Zhejiang, and then presents the issue of innovative planning and design of the tourism development in this area. As for the basic thinking of the research and composing, guided by the Chinese ancient wellness ideas and the basic principles of Tourism, this essay takes the Central Zhejiang Province as the case area, and gives the objective scanning and analysis of the developing situation of wellness tourism in Central Zhejiang by using tourism theories and methods. Meanwhile, we propose the creative ideas of developing the local wellness tourism, and then, combined with the developing pattern and strategy of the wellness tourism products, we try to build the innovative design of the products in the hope of pushing forward the deeper development of wellness tourism in central Zhejiang through establishing scientific system of wellness tourism products.This paper consists six parts. The first part analyses the background and significance of the research, does the literature reviews, and determines the content and methods of the study. The second part gives the objective analysis and evaluation on the situation of the wellness tourism in Central Zhejiang by the analysis method of SWOT. In the third part we sort out and classify the wellness tourism theories, and then explain the developing vision of the wellness tourism products, which gives base for the follow-up study. Part four shows the orientation and principle of the wellness tourism products’innovative design in Central Zhejiang. And in part five we try to give the developing thinking and implementation proposals of the innovative wellness tourism products in Central Zhejiang. The sixth part is the conclusion of the study.
