With the fast development of industrialization, urbanization and modernization, a great deal of infield was transformed into non-infield, accordingly, a social group of land-lost farmer were created. As current land requisition system in China is short of persistence of compensation to land-lost farmers, a number of land-lost farmers are facing the awkward situation of “no land, no employment, no guarantee”. It is urgent to solve the livelihood issues of land-lost farmers. Therefore, it is theoretically significant to carry out systematic study on the land-lost farmers employment in the urbanization progress, correctly understand problems and difficulties of land-lost farmers employment, and propose effective solutions for sustainable livelihood for promoting the sustainable development of social economy.In this paper, Yingkou Development Zone, Liaoning is taken as the major object of study. Based on field survey, the source of land-lost farmers employment difficulties is explored and specific ideas of perfection of land-lost farmers employment are proposed. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction, elaborating domestic and foreign research situation and the topic in terms of research purpose, thinking, methods, innovation and shortcomings. The second part defines and explains the related definition and theoretical basis. In the third part, based on field survey, actual employment of the land-lost farmers of Yingkou Development Zone is analyzed. The fourth part explores the major causes leading difficulties in land-lost farmers employment. In additional, the fifth part systematically proposes countermeasures and suggestions to solve the employment issue of the land-lost farmers of Yingkou Development Zone in three perspectives such as government, land-lost farmer and employment market environment.
