With the fast development of economy globalization, more and more countries and international companies start to invest in China. Sino-foreign joint-ventures are becoming one of the main supports of economy and getting lots of attention from experts. While during development, there will be occasions of culture conflicts which are pain points of joint ventures. So, if a joint venture can solve the conflicts become a sign for company success. To recognize those conflicts, and deal with them properly are becoming critical for a joint venture to improve its own management, and comprehensive capability in the intensive competition.HSW is a joint venture invested by Haier Group from China and Strauss Group from Israel. The essay is based on others’ study of cross-cultural management and culture conflicts, and uses HSW as a real example. After did some analysis on HSW, it’s found the cross culture conflicts are full of variety. Generally, it’s the culture conflicts between two countries with long history, and specifically, it’s the culture conflicts between two big companies. The conflicts are mainly about human resource, cross culture communication, and management. Based on all above analysis of HSW, the conflicts reasons and conflicts formation are revealed. Considering the current situation in HSW, it’s suggested that the management should enhance their attention to cross culture management, have a clear knowledge of the impact of cross culture conflicts, and be more creative.
