Performance management is an important tool of management in geological exploration units, and is an important guarantee to realize the strategic target of the baton, to play a role of incentive constraints as well as to promote sustainable healthy development. At present, with the deepened reform of enterprises, performance management of geological exploration units have evolved and be deepened, which is been constantly studied, explored and applied.It is sure that the current geological exploration unit performance management has many problems and shortcomings, such as set of scientific, pertinence and instructional assessment index needs to be further improved, too much focus on the assessment results and ignores the process management and results using, orders of assessment index should be further precise and decomposition and refinement, assessment indicators and the actual business does not adapt, and matching problems. Therefore, for the geological exploration units, especially the deepwater area in the reform of geological exploration units, it is necessary to research on performance management system, to comb and design improvement.For the A geological brigade, the present situation of the development and reform, with an important management tool, performance management is studied, as an example for empirical research, puts forward A new performance appraisal ideas and measures, strive to promote the healthy development of the scientific development of company.This paper is divided into six parts of A geological team performance management which the problems are expounded. The first part introduced the selected topic background and significance, research status at home and abroad and the technical method and route; The second part introduces theoretical summary of performance management in public institutions; The third part introduced the A geological team performance appraisal management present situation; The fourth part analyzes the problems existing in the A geological team performance appraisal management, analyzes the deep-seated reasons behind.
