Study On Comprehensive Carrying Capacity Of Land Resources In Xiangshan

Land resources are mankind’s natural resources and material basis for survival, are also basic demand protection of regional society and economic development. But the land carrying capacity was limited in a certain space. Nowadays, with the process of industrialization and urbanization in Xiangshan, growing population and surge demand resulted that the contradiction between limited supply and unlimited demand for development land was very prominent. Coupled with the demand for transportation, energy, water conservancy, environmental protection and other infrastructure projects, all those showed a rapid growth trend of construction demand and caused the conflict aggravation. Therefore, it is necessary to study the land use trends and status for sustainable use.Based on the study and results of researches abroad and home, this paper bond with Xiangshan’s regional features, then established the Evaluation Index System of land comprehensive carrying capacity. This system contained four support subsystems departure:social carrying, water-land resource carrying, economic carrying and ecological environment carrying, and 22 evaluation indexes were selected. Using the method of mean variance decision-making and coefficient of variation, and land carrying capacity of Xiangshan from 2005 to 2015 were evaluated clearly. The results showed that:(1) Comprehensive carrying capacity had a significant growth between 2005 and 2015, the growth rate was relatively high after 2010, and each subsystem sustained growth to varying degrees; (2) The various subsystems grow unequally and interacted on each other, eco-environment carrying capacity made the largest contribution to constantly raising comprehensive carrying capacity than the others before 2012, but after 2012, economic carrying capacity became greatly improved instead of eco-environment carrying. In addition, the social and economic levels adapted to the eco-environment and water-land resource level still needed to be further increased, and coordination between the four systems was poor and needed to be improved; (3) According to all the analysis, when land comprehensive carrying capacity of Xiangshan compared with four adjacent-areas, it came to a conclusion that comprehensive carrying capacity of Yuyao were better than others. In the future, social and economic carrying capacity of Xiangshan should be increased so rapidly that make the largest contribution to constantly raising comprehensive carrying capacity. Finally, according to the conclusions above, and based on the land use planning and county-level overall planning of Xiangshan, it gives the proposals of improving comprehensive carrying capacity which is in terms of the enhancement of eco-environment protection, appropriate population structure control and improve efficiency of resource using.
