Research On Logistics System Problems And Improvement Strategies Of XSD Company

With an increasingly popularity of E-commerce in recent year, the fierce competition among direct selling, traditional retail and E-commerce is increased dramatically. The advantages of traditional retail trade are its mature sells channel and wide cognition while E-commerce provides shopping experience at home and good after-sales service. The advantages of the direct-selling industry are low threshold and face-to-face interactive marketing. In order to survive in the fierce market competition, the direct selling company must improve supply chain management and obtain core competitiveness and price advantage continuously.The efficiency of the logistics has essential influence on direct selling industry. How to save storage costs and improve customer satisfaction in logistics link are issues of improvement direct selling industry. I am working in center distribution center of XSD Company which is a direct selling company. In the process of logistics reform, I recognized that the direct selling company faces numerous franchise stores and service network which were widely distributed in china, which makes it of great importance to improve logistics system and strengthen logistics management.What the dissertation covers were as follows:Firstly, researched on definition and features of direct selling and logistic, including relevant theories, such as the third party logistic. In addition, studied on the importance of logistic in direct selling industry.Secondly, a brief introduction of XSD Company, like its basic background information and operation system. Then detailed information about XSD logistics reform was presented, including problems existing in old logistic mode and achievement of current mode.Considering the significant role of logistic information network in Quick- Responsible Logistics System, the current information network of logistics was analyzed emphatically in this thesis and pointed out its traits and deficiencies. To analyze the traits and the problems of the main parts of logistics system in XSD Company, including center distribution, regional distribution, trunk transport and terminal transport. To achieve the sustainable development, the green and safety logistics must be established; this thesis analyzed the traits and problems of green logistics of XSD Company.To put forward improvement strategies: firstly, with the aid of the advanced information technology XSD company should improve and perfect information network of logistics; secondly, XSD company should adjust its regional distribution network incessantly and improving and perfecting its distribution routes, budget; thirdly, XSD company should enhance the capacity of logistics management and the quality of clerks, building the learning organization; fourthly, XSD company should heighten the service satisfaction of terminal distribution; fifthly, XSD company should develop the reverse logistics and build the green and safety logistics system.This theory about logistics system of XSD company overall, deeply analyzed every logistics part and found the problems. Combining policy and development of logistics in china, this theory suggested that XSD Company should improve logistics system from following aspects: to build more perfect logistics information network, to strengthen adjustment of RDC and management ability of CDC, to improve terminal distribution service, to enhance environment protection and safety policies etc.
