N company is fresh goods trade leading enterprise in A city. Rely on the support of government’s policy, fresh goods trade volume accounted for more than 80% of the market share in A city. At same time, N company manages the only fresh commodity wholesale market of A city.In recent years, with development of market economy, N company faces to more and fiercer competition. How to achieve transformation and upgrading becomes the pressing problem for N company.According to the N enterprise’s status quo, the internal and external environment, directed by relevant corporate strategic management theories, as the relevant industry’s prospects for reference, using the model of industry competitive structure and SWOT model, the article has studied the company’s development strategy, puts forward the future strategic development plan and measures.The article gives such conclusion: with the rapid development of economy and food industry, N company is at an important period of strategic opportunities in next five years. N company strategy positions on the providers of quality food through controlling the whole industry chain in China. The specific business strategy is that:Give priority to consolidate and develop the existing regional market, in the longitudinal direction, extending industry chain to achieve vertical integration, enhance the comprehensive competitiveness, reduce business risk; in the transverse direction, develop new product to achieve diversification in product. At the same time, based on consolidating and developing the existing regional markets, N company explores new area by copying the existing mature pattern to realize diversification in region. Through these measures, N company will become first-class food enterprises, achieve transformation and upgrading, and realize great development.Through this study, the article can provide some references for the reform and development of state-owned enterprises、transformation and upgrading of trade enterprises.
