The economic situation of both domestic and international area is getting worse. The age of meager profit or deficit is about to come. The traditional project management process is no longer fit for the future market. A higher level of management is required. Thus the optimization of the business process is necessary. How to make a better project management process to let the factory holds longer product lines, better technology, and shorter order lead time has become an important research issue.This paper has a systematic description of the origin and development of project management and process management theories. It introduced how to use ARIS, which is a process management platform software, to build process models. It also uses SF factory projects as a background, and analysis the current situation and problems of project management process.The author rearranged positions, characters, sheets and other process elements, by making a unanimous process description standard based on the process management method theory. Separate models were built. Full functional process structure was settled. The author made a thorough reorganization of business process, clearly stated the sequence of process, input and output, position responsibility. An end-to-end process was built. Meanwhile, a pre optimization was applied in the process breakpoints, and repeatable processes were simplified, deleted unnecessary process. Referring Siemens project management as an example, the author redesigned the process, by adding order design module, and putting this module into the entire end-to-end process. The new process has a positive effect in delivery time and schedule of the project.After the optimization of the process system of project management, a consolidated information process management platform is formed. This platform remarkably shows the actual process, integrating with a process manual and position manual. This could significantly improve the project management efficiency by reverse the afterwards management to prior management. The new process has a clear task, clear steps, clear responsibility and rights. By comparing the first and the second units of JZ project in SF factory, we can see the delivery period is shorter and more attached to the schedule. It also proved the new platform is applicable in real work, and provide a better solution to solve the “management islet” problem.
