Research On China’s Agricultural Cooperatives Development At Present Stage

For over thirty years of reform and opening up, the household contract responsibility system can make a huge, positive difference in mobilizing the enthusiasm of farmers and promoting agricultural development. But with the deepening of reform and opening up, the continuous development of the agricultural economy, the household contract responsibility system has also exposed the limitations of overstretched and the lack of overall planning, which militates against the development of agricultural economy. This situation makes it possible to explore the various kinds of development modes of agricultural scale management in practice, and agricultural cooperative is one of the important ways to develop it.In this paper, the theories have been carried on to reorganize and elaborate the relevant policies of agricultural cooperatives, the party and the government. Moreover, it has reviewed the history of development of agricultural cooperatives in China,of which development from the experiences and instructions have been summarized. Besides, it has clarified the realistic requirements and huge significance of the development of agricultural cooperatives at this stage. Then, the paper has analysed the current situation of agricultural cooperatives and revealed its problems and reasons. Finally, it has thrown out suggestions about promoting the development of agricultural cooperatives in the present stage of our country from six aspects.
