As the national economic development pillar industry, the energy consumption of transportation is huge. According to the International Energy Agency statistics, in recent years, the energy consumption of transportation accounted for more than 20% of global energy consumption. Meanwhile, transportation is also an important source of greenhouse gas emissions. In recent ten years, the total global carbon dioxide emissions grew 13%, while the growth rate of carbon emissions from the transport sector is about 25%. Among them, the port as an important transportation link has become an important source of urban energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Low-carbon green development of the port will have a huge impact to the port and the city’s economic development.Based on the characteristics of container ports, this paper adopts the method of system dynamics to analysis container port system. The main contents and results are as follows:Firstly, based on the theoretical results of sustainable development, low-carbon economy, green economy, this paper systematically introduced the basic concepts and theories related to container ports of low-carbon green growth. By comparing the level of low-carbon green growth container ports at home and abroad, this paper summarized the problems during the development of low-carbon green Container Port in China.Secondly, according to the operation of container ports production process, this paper analyzed the factors influencing the development of low-carbon green container ports, including berthing, loading and unloading containers and horizontal transport, container stacking, dispatch management, energy-saving technology and management system using. Finally, based on system dynamics simulation analysis, this paper summarized the interaction between the developments of low-carbon green container ports in the various subsystems, and put forward suggestions for the development of low-carbon green container ports, which can provide some guidance for container low-carbon green development of the port.
