| Recent years, as the fast development of economic and international trade all over the world container transportation has developed a lot. The trend is obvious that the container ports are pursuing the deeper water gauge and the container ships are becoming larger and larger. As the extension of Multimodal Transport, container transportation is stretching forward to the inland, and the container transportation network across the hinterland is also apt to be perfect. As the inland container transit depot, dry port is becoming more and more important to supply the service for both the shipping companies and the freight owners between the both sides of the trade. It improves the process of the transportation, lightens the traffic jam in the port and gives a great support to the economic development.Based on the above background this thesis introduces the development of the dry ports along the world, analysis the concept, the service it supplies and the classification. Combined with our national situation the thesis points out the function our national dry port should apply and the challenges we are facing to. As the dry port is a new transit function in our country, both the facility and experiences can not satisfy the requirement in the real acts. Also in the sea port, the area of container field is not large enough for the development of other facility. And this leads to the traffic jam of the transit of container in the port. In this paper I am trying to analysis one of the weak point among the development processes of dry port.Based on the timetable of the shuttle container trains from the dry port, the thesis studies on the scale of the container yards in the sea port. And the train container discharge scheme in the port is also discussed. I am aiming to bring the best benefit from the investment of capital. From this paper, I want to point a new planning way of container yard in the sea port for the operators of the port. |
