Research On Producer Services Agglomeration And Its Influencing Factors In Beijing-tianjin-hebei Region

As the service industry becoming more and more important in today’s economy,The producer services as its core has become an indispensable engine to promoteeconomic growth. The agglomeration of producer services is the key to promote theurban construction of new industrialization and urbanization. However, majority ofscholars study on the agglomeration of manufacture, only a few people focus on theagglomeration of producer services.Based on the methods of empirical analysis and comparative analysis, we dothe research with the following steps: first, measure the producer servicesagglomeration level of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from2003to2012, analysis thedegree of agglomeration from the view of overall, industry and regional compare the13prefecture level city in this region; Second, set up a structure to analysis theinfluence factors of producer services agglomeration in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,explore the various influence factors of agglomeration by Econometric analysis.Based on the measurement results, some reasonable political suggestions areproposed which is for the problems existed in the process of agglomerationdevelopment in this region.By the Results of empirical analysis, we find that the producer servicesagglomeration degree of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has increased in this ten years,but compared with other economic circle, it·s still lagging behind and the internalindustrial structure is not balanced. The main factors that influencing the producerservices agglomeration is knowledge intensity, city scale, urbanization rate, and thedevelopment of relevant industries such as manufacturing and consumer services.Among them, the knowledge intensity, urbanization level, and the development ofconsumer services have a positive impact on the agglomeration, but agriculture,manufacturing, city scale have a negative effect on producer services, however theparticularity of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region also makes part of influence factorsis not so significant. So in order to the further development of producer services inBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, we need to do something, On one hand, we need tostrengthen the construction of the new urbanization, improve the knowledgeintensity of this area; on the other hand, we need to promote the adjustment ofregional industrial structure, encourage the development of new type of producerservices, Which will gradually promote the healthy development of producer services and enhance the regional competitiveness in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
