The global economy has gradually shifted from industry economy to service economy in the recent thirty years. The proportion of service sector in the national economy has reached 70% in developed countries. And in the service sector, the proportion of producer services is growing. Its development has drawn wild attention. As a new force for economic development, the producer services is more easily to drive the economic than other industries. With its rapid development in the whole world, the industrial agglomeration of producer services has drawn more and more attention. By 2008, China's per capital GDP had reached$3100(at current prices). According to Chenery multi-country model's standard, China will enter the middle stage of industrialization. During this period, the development of producer services will become a new driving force for economic growth. Therefore, it's of great significance to study the industrial agglomeration of producer services. The main contents of this article:(1) Define the meaning of producer services; analysis the current situation of China's producer services in three aspects. (2) Use Spatial Gini Coefficient, Location Quotient and Concentration Ratio to measure the degree of regional concentration of China's producer services industries; use Herfindahl-Hirschman Index to measure the degree of concentration within enterprises of the China's producer servicers industries; use the Index of industry concentration to analysis China's producer services'concentration structure comprehensively. (3) Use panel data model and select the following ten factors which includes the share of manufacturing industry, the scale of the market, innovation density, geographic location, degree of external economic dependence, the level of opening-up, scale economy, the level of investment, road network density and the unemployment rate to analysis the impact of the development of China's producer services'concentration.(4) Put forward some policy recommendations for the development of China's producer services based on the above analysis.Through empirical analysis, we conclude that (1) The development of agglomeration area of China's producer services is not well balanced. With the adjustment of industrial structure, the producer services will play a more important roie in the economic growth, which will narrow the gap between provinces, thus avoid the unbalanced regional economic development. (2) China's producer services'HHI index, index of Location Quotient and index of industry concentration are low, which indicate that the agglomeration level of Chinese producer services as well as its sub-industry is not high. In the meanwhile, the level is increasing year by year. So the problem of how to improve agglomeration of China's producer services needed to be solved. (3) The share of manufacturing industry, the scale of the market, innovation density, geographic location, degree of external economic dependence, the level of opening-up, scale economy and the level of investment are positively related to concentration level of producer services, while road network destiny and the unemployment rate are negatively related to it.Innovation of this article:(1) In this article, the latest data in 2005~2009 are used to conduct a special research of the agglomeration of China's producer services, which is the first time to go deep into the agglomeration of producer services in China. (2) This article selects ten influential factors including the share of manufacturing industry, the scale of the market, innovation density, geographic location, degree of external economic dependence, the level of opening-up, scale economy, the level of investment, road network density and the unemployment rate. And it uses panel datamodel to analysis the influential factors of the producer services' clusters. (3) This article conduct an investigation into the agglomeration of Chinese producer services from enterprise level in the industry, sector level in the industry and agglomeration level in the industry.
