Whether ancient or modern, food safety is always in various countries to the survival of the fundamental, along with social progress and development Maintaining and improving health level is the fundamental requirement for improving human welfare and food safety is the basis of health. With the continuous and high-speed economic and social development in our country, food safety issue gains more and more concern from the whole society, and the influence on economic and social development can’t be ignored. The food safety will cause enormous economic loss; moreover, its importance to social stability and state security can’t be ignored; it’s one important part in the construction of a harmonious society.Food supply be divided into three stages in China:inadequate stage, justenough food stage well-to-do stage. Food into three periods: germinate period, evaluation safety regulation also can be divided period and shaping period. Though it has a higher improvement in food sanitation inspection and food science and food quality certification, the actuality of food safety is not optimism. This paper first introduces the concept of food and food safety, from the definition of food types and significance. Thus extended to the various elements of food safety supervision system of our country, make the reader have a general understanding of the food safety regulatory framework.
