Rural Food Safety Regulatory Problems And Countermeasures In Our Country

Food is the material base in human survival and development. Food safety issues are in relation to the life and property safety of people, as well as the social stability and development. Although with the rapid development of economy and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, food industries have acquired unprecedented development, with various new food products emerging one after another, but many social problems-especially the food security events-begin to appear, such as Sanlu milk powder accident, Anhui Fuyang milk powder accident edc. In the countryside, due to shortage of food safety knowledge, paleness of food safety awareness and weakness of prevention ability, the poor food monitoring and management, the particularity of the rural food market, although the related departments at all levels in our country has been gradually improved regulatory measures, the rural is still the weak links in the supervision of food safety.This paper, from the particularity of the rural regulation, finds the problems of regulation of food safety through the investigation, analyzes the causes, and proposes three countermeasures to improve rural food safety monitoring. Developing the food safety retroactively mechanism, developing the comprehensive regulatory perspective in food safety supervision, and developing seamless network structure in the food safety supervision. The author hopes that this paper can cause the attention of the relevant departments, give them some advices in improving the rural food supervision.
