With the rapid development of domestic automobile industry, cars bring moreconvenience for people,which is more and more widely recognized by people. At thesame time, the traffic accidents often happen, lead to people pay more attention to thesafety performance of vehicle, for the auto safety system this emerging industry providesa huge potential market, also meet more severe challenges.Auto safety system is a relatively complex electromechanical assembly, with strongstability, intelligent, and good match. From some company’s overall situation, a majorproblem need to be solved as soon as possible is: how to build a competitive car airbagdevelopment process quickly and efficiently.Based on this purpose, this paper first introduced a concept of advanced qualityplanning, quality planning prevention systems, various arguments management mode,respectively expounds quality planning tool APQP, FMEA, measurement systemanalysis, statistical process control, mistake proofing, concept and function of qualitytools, such as the complementarities between them and analyzes the relativeadvantage.Combined with some company’s reality, this paper introduces the advanced qualityplanning in the process of project development to perform the practical problemsencountered, such as inadequate quality tool use, lack of corresponding training, qualityconcept is not strong and so on. Mainly discusses five major quality tools how to ensureautomobile airbag development process planning, combined with the projectdevelopment process, respectively discusses the stages in the planning and definition ofproject, product design and development, process design and development stage, facingthe problems in the product and process validation phase, and advanced qualityplanning, failure mode analysis, measurement system analysis, statistical processcontrol and mistake proofing techniques applied to the process, put forward thecountermeasures. By using advanced quality tools such as quality planning, making the project in thedevelopment process to avoid a lot of design flaws, shorten the development cycle. Adefect containment in the bud, reduce waste, reduce the quality cost. Enablescompanies to win in the starting point of quality objectives and functions of eachdepartment coordinate smooth, professional expertise play space to expand, the teamoverall strength improvement.
