An Analysis Of Regional Competitiveness Of China’s Manufactuirng Industry

As a mainstay industry of the national economy, manufacturing is an importantindustry to promote the employment of residents and increase the income. It willalso play a significant role in achieving the goal of industrialization in2020.Thedevelopment of China’s manufacturing sector has a far reaching impact on theregional long-term growth and potential power in the real economy as well.Furthermore, the manufacturing sector also determines a country’s internationalposition in the world market in international competition. The current processingstatus of the manufacturing has seriously affected the development of China’smanufacturing industry in high-tech fields. Therefore, it’s very necessary to searchthe competitive constitute indicators, identify obstacles of competitivenessdevelopment of China’s manufacturing industry, and draw direction and policydevelopment on China’s manufacturing industry, which is full of academic andpractical significance in the future. This paper draws advanced research experienceand results of domestic and foreign scholars in competitiveness, industrialcompetitiveness and manufacturing competitiveness, and constructs evaluation ofregional manufacturing competitiveness evaluation index system. Analysis of theoverall development situation of the provinces includes Jilin provincesmanufacturing competitiveness and the specific development of the five elementsand twenty-five sub-elements. The paper takes Jilin Province as the standard forevaluation, and then analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of regionalcompetitiveness in the manufacturing, and comes out some suggestions for thedevelopment of manufacturing industry in the future.This paper consists of five parts. The first chapter is the introduction part, whichintroduces the starting point and foothold of the paper and then research on methodsused in this paper. The second chapter is a literature review. This chapter is theinterpretation of the meaning and research base of manufacturing competitiveness inthe theoretical aspect. Begin from competitiveness, the introduction of industrial competitiveness, and lead research base of manufacturing competitiveness. Introduceimportant research methods in industrial competitiveness and other areas ofmanufacturing competitiveness at home and abroad, and the research anddevelopment path from single index, multiple indices to the index system. The thirdchapter is to construct the evaluation index system of manufacturing competitiveness.Under the premise of the method of absorbing domestic and foreign research in thecompetitiveness index system, this chapter describes the principles of constructingthe index system, index selection, data sources and calculations, and presents theresults of the final evaluation of the competitiveness. The third chapter is toevaluation and analysis of regional manufacturing competitiveness. This chapter ison the results of competitiveness evaluation index system. To evaluate the results ofJilin Province as a benchmark, the three northeastern provinces and three regions ofthe provinces three areas were compared to find the advantages and disadvantages.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Analysis of the new situation and development ofChina’s manufacturing constraints, and proposed regional manufacturingcompetitiveness of China develop policy recommendations.
