Sichuan Province, Manufacturing Competitiveness Analysis

The manufacturing industry of Sichuan has gained great progress through twenty years of development since the implementation of reform and opening. But it is no doubt admitted that the gap in economy between Sichuan and advanced provinces is bigger. Currently it happens to us the adjustment of international industrial structure and the national transition of economic structure. Under this circumstance, it is the key for Sichuan to achieve economic prosperity in the next five years to take advantage of vested comparative preponderance to promote the competitiveness of manufacturing industry in order to acquire an inch of land in the international and national division of labor.In this paper I had one research on the competitiveness of main industries of manufacturing industry in Sichuan on the base of the study on the industrial competitiveness of the current development of manufacturing industry of Sichuan. The thesis is divided into four parts. Its structure and main content are summarized as followings: the first part briefly presents the research background and significance .It illustrates main thinking and methods by introducing present situation home and abroad. The second part deals with the retrospect of the fundamental theory and evaluating method of the industrial competitiveness. In this part there are several aspects: The first aspect involves the source of theory of the industrial competitiveness. After that is the frame of theory which introduces the meaning of the industrial competitiveness, its research base of theory, its effluent factors and its doctrine of four phrases of development. The third part is the concise summary of the evaluating indexes and methods finished by predecessors. It gives the evaluation and analysis of the competitiveness of manufacturing industry in Sichuan. The fourth part introduces the policies of industry aimed directly at the problems that existed in the development of manufacturing industry in Sichuan.
