The Analysis Of Muskmelon Economic Benefits And Influence Factors

As the rendezvous of the talents and the technology, the agricultural universities and the researchinstitutes are the indispensable force in rural poverty alleviation, play a decisive role in regionaleconomic development. Come nearly30years, Agricultural University of Hebei, adhering to the"Taihang Mountain road" spirit, to explore the great practice of agricultural colleges and universities toparticipate in the technology for poverty alleviation. Located in the northern part of Cangzhou City, CaiXi village is the poverty alleviation pilot of "Taihang Mountain road", which is in the period ofextension and expansion.Due to poor natural conditions, land masses rupture, the villagers of Cai Xi village were in thelong-term poverty. In1998, according to the characteristics of local soil and agricultural resources,science and technology personnel from Agricultural University of Hebei select the technology--whichis mature, investment quick returns, the market benefit high--Muskmelon Planting Industry as abreakthrough in development and poverty alleviation. Impart planting technology to villagers throughthe method of expert field guide, field test and demonstration. Since then, Cai Xi village rely onMuskmelon Planting out of poverty, and the villagers’ life level and their mental outlook have beenimproved significantly.However, with the highlighting of the problem, such as the farming population aging, the younglabor reduction, the farmland circulations accelerate. Now some people in Cai Xi village begin tochoose the large-scale production and update the greenhouse without being limited to greenhouse. Themuskmelon years continuous cropping makes the soil borne disease exacerbation and highlights the soilcompaction problems. So, how to overcome these barriers? How about the peasant household scaleproduction suitability and feasibility? What are the key factors influence the economic benefit offarmers? With these questions, the author starts with the calculation of muskmelon economic research.With these researches we can find out the base of Cai Xi village muskmelon production, and provide thereference for the sustainable development of industry in the future. And this can provides a way ofpoverty alleviation industry promotion for the Scientific Research Institute and agricultural universities.This survey had150questionnaires, and the response rate was91.33%and137questionnaires wereavailable. In this study, the author comparatively analysis of the different planting area, different typesof facilities and the farmers’ cost-benefit structure and difference with or without the use of graftingtechnology. And using multiple linear regression models, analyze the influence of Muskmelon PlantingFarmers net income, including the internal factors such as farmers educational level, the number of family labor, to enlarge the ability of cognition, the cognition of the technology etc., and the externalfactors such as government subsidies, shed construction loan preferential policy, the number of trainingtechnical personnel, natural disasters etc.. The analysis results are as follows:(1)At present in the Cai Xi village such a one under the condition of planting melons, with theincrease of planting area, net benefits increasing. But, the area in10to15mus, the cost–yields can bethe highest.(2)In the face of the present stage facilities upgrading populations phenomenon, Although thesunlight greenhouse planting melons yields higher than plastic greenhouses, Due to the one-timebuilding cost is too high, cost recovery period is longer than the other, Farmers according to theirexisting investment level rational built, they cannot blindly follow others.(3) Grafting technology can significantly improve the farmers’ economic benefits. The techniquefor soil borne disease melons can play a role in control. Both can reduce the dosage of pesticide, savecost. And it can improve the quality of the fruit, increase revenue.(4) In the internal factors that affect farmers economic benefits, family workforce, expand capacity,the cognitive degrees of technology have a significant effect on the net profit. In the external factors,subsidies provided by the government and farmers’ satisfaction for the technical training went throughthe significant test. These two factors were positively related with net benefits. Market price fluctuationsand natural disasters for pure income of farmers have a very significant negative correlationrelationship.On the above analysis, the author proposes the following suggestions:First of all, in order to realize the sustainable development of Cai Xi village in industry, shouldestablish a development mode of "research institutes+company+cooperative+farmers" as soon aspossible. Farmers should reasonably arrange species distribution, improve the land utilization efficiency,adhere to the "using, curing" binding. The village collective should establish the seed companies; makethe muskmelon plant standardization, standardization, formation of muskmelon professionalcooperatives, farmers to improve market competitiveness. Agricultural universities should form theinterests’ community with the cooperative organization and the company through the technicalparticipation form.
