Vegetables are fresh agricultural products and necessary for daily life. Compared with the other traditional crops, the process of mercerization of vegetables is faster. Vegetables play an important role in the agricultural economy of Ningyang. The development of vegetable industry has been highly valued by the government. Especially since 1988, the government implemented food basket project, it has greatly promoted the development of vegetable industry in China. According the local actual situation, Ningyang has been the vegetable industry as a key industry for a long time.Ningyang has formulated the related policy and improved the market system. Vegetable industry of Ningyang maintains a good momentum of development. In the national vegetable plan enacted in 2012, Ningyang was named important county of vegetable production. It promotes the development of vegetable industry. Vegetable industry has become a new way to increase farmer’s income and agricultural efficiency.First, on the basis of relevant literature on the vegetable industry, it explains concepts: vegetable industry, industrial chain of agricultural products, industrial policy and the theory of industry structure, the theory of agricultural industrialization and the theory of influence factors of vegetable industry benefits.Second,through field visits, questionnaire and so on, it analyzes the current situation of the development of vegetable industry in Ningyang,and summarizes the main problems.Third,through investing the field and questionnaire survey, it collects related data of influence factors of vegetable industry in Ningyang,then uses SPSS19.0 to do factor analysis and the result is the degree of influence of 6 factors on the development of vegetable industry.Finally, according to the current situation and problems of vegetable industry of Ningyang and the conclusion of the empirical analysis, it put forward some countermeasures to promote the vegetable industry of Ningyang.Although the vegetable industry of Ningyang facing some problems, it has its own advantages and faces opportunities for development, so the development potential is huge. The government of Ningyang, enterprises, agricultural cooperatives and farmers should unite and take measures to make the vegetable industry bigger and stronger.
