Since reform and opening-up, the non-public economy with the represent of individual businesses has become a major part of socialist market economy, and has played an important role in economic development. But, when the development of individual businesses to a certain size, due to a single governance model, the limited scale of investment and other factors, the lack of comparative advantage in terms of commercial credit, business areas, branding, competitiveness, etc.,resulting in a subordinate position in their respective fields. Changsha FT Company as an individual business is also facing the same problem. If they want to make further development, how to optimize business processes, improve business management level shall become the key issue blocked by the low overall quality,weak management, and Non-standardized business process.After carding the domestic and foreign literature, I discovered that the "division of labor" to "Ford mode of production” and "Toyota Production System" and later developed process optimization, like the process changes as well as the process re-engineering, are mostly based on manufacturing industry, and optimization is achieved by combing and streamlining the existing complex processes. But for most of the individual businesses, and particularly wholesale and retail trade, their business processes critical question is not the problem of burdensome, but shortage and non-perfect. Therefore based on Changsha FT Company the paper analyzed its operation overview, including the development background, the development direction and prospects, organizational structure and personnel, etc., and the use of flow diagrams and research on the status quo of Changsha FT Company business operations status quo existing business processes and business process analysis of the effectiveness of the current process, revealing the necessity to improve business processes and the factors need to be considered. Then, through all kinds of business process survey, like research, "Turnbacks" statistics, as well as meeting discussion,the author explores problems of Changsha FT Company’s existing business processes, such as non sufficient process maturity, low efficiency, lack ofcustomized products tracking and analyzes the root causes of Changsha FT Company’s existing business processes by using the business process Root Cause Analysis, like fish bone diagram, group voting, 5 WHY. And then, according to the existing business processes problems and root causes, operation business process optimization objectives and optimization program are raised. Finally, after the implementation of business process optimization solutions, resulted in a good conclusion, that optimization of business process improvement work is completed in good condition, and the operational effectiveness is satisfactory.We can say that the business process improvement of Changsha FT Company is initially successful, and is reached the purpose of by combing, analyzing and optimizing the current business operation with process optimization tool. The next step is to make further optimization of business processes, based on the optimization this time, trying to seek a breakthrough in the traditional business model in the next optimization process, in order to give the company greater benefits.
