This thesis is based on the locomotive exported to Thailand project of the CSR Qishuyan Locomotive Co. Ltd. as a research object, it is a research and development and manufacturing project. According to the project schedule management theory to research on schedule plan and control of Thailand locomotive development project, and combines with the company’s management practice and project implementation process. Eventually, make the Thailand locomotive development project successfully completed according to the plan period. At the same time, it also can provide an example and reference for the future similar projects, and has good practical significance.The thesis is divided into six parts:In the first chapter, mainly discusses Project management research situation at home and abroad, and the research background of the project, and methods, significance, content, way of thinking, etc of the research. In the second chapter, discusses the theory and method of project management, systematically expounds the theory and the method of related the types, objective, tools, the planning process of project schedule plan, and processes, types, dynamic monitoring of project schedule control. In the third chapter, first of all, describes the present situation of the company and analyses the competitive environment. And then analyses the problems and causes of project schedule planning and control. In the fourth chapter, firstly, analyses the works of the Thailand locomotive development project in the progress plan and control, combined with Thailand locomotive development project and the company’s existing problems. Then introduce the whole process of the project schedule planning. Introduce how to compile the work breakdown structure diagram, work description table, the distribution of work and responsibility etc. Moreover, according to three estimates of time method estimates of project activity time, then draw up the Gantt chart by using the MS Project, finally draw up the project network diagram, and find out the critical path. In the fifth chapter, introduces the process of project schedule control, mainly discusses the prior to the implementation of the project schedule control, taken in Thailand locomotive development project in the implementation of the main measures to control and schedule control of tracking and control. In the sixth chapter, discusses the related security measures from the system construction, information management, human resources training, etc. In the ending part summarized the full Article, and put forward the research direction. The most important essential factors of project management is schedule, cost, quality, schedule management is an important index to reflect the level of project management.In the case of the current overseas locomotive project delay phenomenon seriously, research on project schedule plan and control has the important practical significance to make each project can be completed in the contract period. Research on project schedule management is beneficial to improve the project delay phenomenon, it can accumulate the successful experience in project management for locomotive R&D and manufacturing enterprises. Thailand locomotive development project applied Project management software, WBS, project responsibility allocation table, three time estimation method to estimate the duration, network diagram, Gantt chart, critical path theory and chart in the implementation process, can facilitates rapid upgrade the enterprise project management level.
