With the rapid development of the global economy, as the recent economic development of the communications industry is also hotspot has maintained rapid growth. Especially in2009after the official release of3G licenses, the three operators to force the3G network construction, communications industry has brought a new leap forward. The rapid development of the communications industry, it also brings more intense competition, the major operators in order to maintain the competitive edge, constantly called for speeding up network construction progress and quality. Operators demanding communications projects, and this also makes equipment supplier in the project attaches great importance to the delivery of project management applications. Through the application of project management experience accumulated, various equipment suppliers have gradually form their own set of communication systems and project management methods.H Company, as currently the world’s second-largest telecommunications operator, has been committed to learning advanced management experience, continue to optimize its management system, improve operational efficiency. Company H by summing years of project management application experience in project management theory utilization gradually formed its own project management system. H’s approach to project management is depth of customization for communications projects.Ideally suited for communications projects.Major areas of project management, time management is a communication project management the most critical part. As the rapid development of communications industry,network structure is increasingly complex.for all departments of project,cooperation and coordination is more important.The progress of supporting project has become the biggest factor to restrict the project. For schedule management issues, H company made the PPIM methods of schedule management. Based on researching and analysising the concept and application of PPIM,This paper describes the principles and processes of developing the project schedule using PPIM, and through the gradual breakdown of the actual case illustrates how the development of the project schedule and update the project plan rolling cycle. PPIM approach to the schedule management of communication project has a high application value, while its principles and methods for other types of project schedule management is also a good reference.
