Public rental housing is a kind of affordable housing which not onlyhas the goods meet the demand of residential properties, but also has thesocial functions of maintaining social justice, solving the problem of thepeople’s livelihood, safeguarding civil rights and social progress,realizing social harmony and so on. Housing belongs to real estate and hasdurability. Once housing is implemented, its location has a strongirreversibility that will have influence on urban social spatial structure fordecades or longer. Now at home and abroad, the researches of publicrental housing mainly focus on the macro policy and system constructionof residential design and microscopic levels. The research of the spatialdistribution of public rental housing focus on the studies of the macromode, lack of focusing on the research of public rental housing spaceproblem mainly from the perspective of social justice and fairness space.This article mainly takes the existing public rental housing in xi’anas research object., It will research public rental housing locationcharacteristics from the aspects of community using the measures ofurban social geography in order to reflect the quality of its urban socialliving space of the residential community. In this paper, the first chapterfocuses on combing the domestic and foreign research results of spatialdistribution of public rental housing. The second chapter elaboratelystudies related theoretical basis. The third chapter analysis the development present situation of xi ’an public rental housing, summarizesthe types and distribution of xi’an existing public rental housing, analysistheir location features including fundamental features of material space,residential population characteristics and characteristics of communityresources. The fourth chapter analysis the coupling relationship betweenthe existing public rental housing location and the community resources,and studies the matching relationship between the public rental housingresidents’ demand and the existing community resources supply. Theurban living space and daily behavior characteristics of public rentalhousing residential users are analyzed. The fifth chapter sums up relatedresearch conclusions.This paper mainly has the following conclusions:(1) In general, thedevelopment of xi ’an public rental housing is good, but there are theimbalanced development among different districts and counties, xi ’anhigh-tech zone does the best for the sake of realizing theinformationization management in the whole process, while the degree ofinformation disclosure in other districts of is not enough.(2) From theperspective of the macroscopic location, spatial location of xi’ an existingpublic rental housing has the remote centralization and marginalizationcharacteristics. From the perspective of microscopic location, spatiallocation of xi’ an existing public rental housing is away from thelow-income people’s employment concentration areas, their public transport and service facilities is not perfect because of the lack ofhumanistic care in urban social material space. If public rental housingproject is constructed intensively,it will cause the space of thelow-income group gathered themselves together and differentiate theliving special of different social class.(3)The quality of communityresources accessibility has positive correlation with its economic incomelevel, but high cultural quality of the residents’ living community attachesgreat importance to the spiritual and cultural life.(4) the different types ofpublic rental housing residential community have obvious differenceliving space characteristic. The space of the xi ’an public rental housingresidents’ daily behavior is in residential area, surrounding the distancedecay gradually, the basic behavior of leisure and entertainment spaceconform to the behavior of leisure and entertainment space distanceattenuation law. To this, the government should promote the securitydepartments of public rental housing to carry out operations informationmanagement all the way in order to realize win-win situation betweenfairness and efficiency; Optimize the site selection of public rentalhousing project, strengthen supporting facility of public rental housingproject; Encourage match pattern and mixed residential modes to relievethe contradictions of social class.
