Currently, electromagnetic compatibility of electronic devices is a key and difficult point need to consider in the design of modern high-speed electronic system. Electromagnetic compatibility problems of electronic controller PCB-level are mainly discussed in this paper, and these problems are to be addressed from three perspectives: signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The method of combination of simulation and test is adopted in the study, where an EMC analysis and improvement is conducted on an actual PCB.First of all, the related basic theories and influencing factors of signal integrity, power integrity and electromagnetic interference of PCB are introduced in this paper. Based on the softwares of Ansoft company, simulation and comparison analysis are conducted on termination resistance, distance between the line, decoupling capacitors and power/ground plane segmentation. And the method of improving the signal integrity and power integrity is obtained. Through the optimized design of the pin distribution of multi-PCB system, the validity of the optimization scheme is verified by simulation.Secondly, the signal integrity and power integrity test on electronic controller is conducted by using oscilloscope and other instruments. The near field radiation of PCB is tested by near field scanner. By comparing the simulation results with the test results, the accuracy of the simulation is verified, and the error analysis is conducted.Then, based on the simulation and test results, according to the electromagnetic compatibility problems of electronic controller PCB-level, the related improvement measures are put forward. The method of simulation is used to verify the effectiveness of improvement. Moreover, an improved PCB is made, and the method of test is employed to verify the effectiveness of improvement. The method can reduce the cost to some extent.Finally, based on the related theories of electromagnetic compatibility of PCB-level, a simulation aided design software is developed. The software provides some help and guidance for the EMC simulation.
