As a group of marginal population, homosexual has been excluded from the mainstream society, especially for male homosexual with more qualms for their identity due to the higher infection risk of HIV resulted from the unusual sexual behavior and the pressure of continuous procreation. Flourish of homosexual social media, including Blued, the L, and Zank, led to more channels to find specific groups for homosexual and decreased cost of closing up to the homosexual circle, further improved successful rate of homosexual social contact. However, with the emergence of homosexual group, eruption of group aggravation and common aspirations contributed to a series of social chaotic phenomena, which resulted in a contradictory comment on the homosexual group.It is worth thinking the following questions: what social situation has been established behind the development of homosexual social media, what happened to the homosexual groups based on these social media, and how the homosexual find themselves in the circle?Thus, based on the virtual ethnography investigation and incomplete participation observation of the Blued for one and a half years, with the combination of depth interview with 20 users of the Blued, the objective of this paper is to discuss how to create a favorable environment for male homosexual sociality and contribute to a better identification for male homosexual by using the socialized media. The study developed in three aspects: firstly, how the male homosexual realized their identity under the social situation on the basis of the Blued; secondly, what poses challenges to their identity under the social situation; thirdly, how to solve the trouble and structure a favorable social media for male homosexual. The main results are as follows: firstly, the identity of male homosexual is characterized by temporary Identity liberation, self-desensitization and identity performance based on the anonymity, verticalisation and dual-network integration of the Blued, and the identity of male homosexual is mainly achieved through the intrinsic self-identification reconstruction and exterior social identification reinforcement; then, the dilemma for identification of male homosexual originated from the social media are primarily identity anxiety in a closed circle, destruction of social utopia established by social media and the panopticon under the heterosexual hegemony; finally, improved identity confidence and self-purification, enhanced group cohesion and receptivity, as well as raised understanding and tolerance play a key role in solving the identity dilemma of male homosexual and constructing a good socialized media for male homosexual.
