The study set up experimental stations in research area based on experimentation, and collected large amount of signal data through drive test, corrected the SPM propagation prediction model in order to design its least square method and signal data process method system. What’s more, establishing a radio signal propagation coverage prediction improved model applied to this type of equipment, which has been validated with good accuracy. Under the support of GIS technology, the correction model made forecasting calculation to the communication signal spreading loss of single base station in the research area, and has drawn the grid map relating to various classification, strength of spreading loss and various coverage. Furthermore, visualization the coverage of radio mobile signal and loss prediction.Through the study of the coverage prediction of base station in research area, we testified the practical combat capacity of this kind of communication equipment from the quantitative analysis perspective, so that worked out the tactical and technical index as radius of effective coverage, cover edge of Cell of Origin, dead zone of cover edge, cover area of Single base station, strength level of coverage, etc. So as to prove the practical combat support capacity of these kinds of equipments.This paper made correction to CDMA radio communication propagation model based on tested signals data, so as to support siting of communication station, parameter configuration of wireless network, and provide visual simulation display for battlefield and communication environment in the station’s coverage. What’s more, showing the visual, graphic and vivid coverage signal of radio communication to the commander, those above will be helpful for communication and command center to judge the communicational situation on the battlefield accurately, regulation and optimization the disposition of radio communication network, which have quite practical significance and application reference value.
