Scattering of rough sea surface and wave propagation has important theoretical significance and broad prospects in areas of space-borne radar or shipboard radar ocean remote sensing, target detection and identification.Focused on the rough sea surface, this thesis established sea surface models at first and simulated the energy value of reflection and diffraction rays using the ray tracing method. This thesis also studied radio wave propagation models which can effectively predict the transport attenuation above the sea for microwave band.At last, this thesis gives a correction of ITU-R P.1546 model which allows the transmitt antenna to be higher than 3km.The main contents include:Firstly, analyses the Neumann Spectrum,PM Spectrum,JONSWAP Spectrum, bilinear superposition rough sea model and linear filtering rough sea model comparativily.Use PM Spectrum and bilinear superposition to establish1-6 level sea surface models for later use.Secondly, use the ray tracing method to study multipath effects of radio wave propagation in complex environments on rough sea surface.Through a large number of simulations, analyze the energy contribution of reflection and diffraction rays to the value of the received power at the observing point. Finally, according to different electromagnetic wave propagation mechanisms for different frequencies of microwave band, the wave propagation models on rough sea surface for UHF/VHF band and Ku-band are established, the curves of each attenuation items are plotted, and a modified 1546 propagation model is raised. The simulation result can initially prove its correctness.
