SSR as an IFF mean based challenge/ response mechanism, has been playing a vital role in the field of military and civil air traffic control. With the development of the SSR, requirements for secondary radar on the one hand to have a traditional challenge / response function, on the other hand should also have investigative and antireconnaissance capabilities. This requires secondary radar processing system with multifunctional processing capabilities. At the same time as the application of digital beam forming in the secondary radar, as well as the investigation of anti-reconnaissance data encryption and decryption, and the complexity of the data search algorithm upgrade, SSR processor processing power, bandwidth also put forward higher requirements. Therefore, the development direction of the secondary radar processor is a versatile, high-speed, large bandwidth. Research article based on this demand mainly with secondary radar processing characteristics and parallel computing theory, and designed and implemented to meet the future needs of a secondary radar processor.Through the analysis of secondary radar works, that parallel processing architecture of its information processing systems should be a multi-level hybrid architecture, to meet the operational needs of a variety of parallel processing method. At the same time processing system should be able to adapt to a variety of data flowdriven way of working, with the ability to transmit multiple data streams. It is designed to meet the requirements of the system, should the system architecture and bus standard two aspects. Based on the above objectives, the parallel processing system and conducted an investigation OpenVPX bus standard.And based on the above work:1.Design a secondary radar system reconfigurable architecture--USSR-OpenVPX architecture is based on the OpenVPX. The architecture is based on OpenVPX standard allows for standardization system, modular, universal, meet the development direction of the radar information processing system. Meanwhile, the architecture is based on multi-level hybrid parallel secondary radar can meet the current demand various operating modes of the system.2.USSR-OpenVPX architecture as a guide, combined with the main technical indicators, the use of PowerPC processors, TS201 processor, FPGA three processors, the system communication control unit, high-speed signal processing unit, a highspeed data processing unit and a high-speed switching unit has been designed to give a generalized heterogeneous parallel processing platform.3.References MPI and MPI provide a common interface approach, based on the system software package commonly used algorithms, the formation of a highly efficient multi- processor software libraries and application of communication drink abstract, shielding the underlying system hardware, just carry on with the top-level design to provide friendly software development interface for the upper user.
