Design And Implementation Of Wi-Fi Metropolitan Area Network Access And Authentication

In this paper, Wi-Fi built in Dongying Unicom metro-area network background as an example,the Wi-Fi access authentication part of the metropolitan area network has been implemented with the design of this paper.In this paper,we first describe the necessity of development of wireless LAN,and make a comparison with wired broadband access technology. Then we introduce the development history of 802.11,a brief introduction to 802.11 PHY and MAC layers, highlights the MAC layer uses CSMA / CA mechanism and working principle. Metro-area network achieve Wi-Fi access authentication function is the key technology and Web-based RADIUS protocol pages PORTAL protocol. The manage and control protocol CAPWAP between AC and AP has also been discussed in this paper. As a RADIUS authentication server and the PORTAL and servers have been deployed by the provincial company,with the purpose of saving investment,leveraging existing network equipment principles,this paper focuses on the design and implementation of the access part.In the period of preparing this paper,the author participated in the BAS,AC,AP equipment for measurement,solved some network configuration and construction part of the problem,the implemented access authentication system has been successfully demonstrated. The author also published an article on the home gateway technologies related papers.
