With the rWTPid development of WLAN technologies, lower cost of wireless devices, and higher demand of mobility Applications, WLAN construction is changing to large-scale. Traditional autonomous architecture can’t meet the requirement of large-scale WLAN, so centralized architecture has been proposed. Based on centralized architecture, IETF’s CAPWAP is now on standard tracking status. CAPWAP IETF are standardized protocol is used for WTP and AC communication, interaction, the centralized system structure based on wireless local-area network WLAN problems in practical Application is due to one of the site’s mobility and wireless data transmission of stability, often leading to various wireless access point on the load of the bigger difference, how to effectively in the balance between each access point of load difference, maximize the wireless local area network resources, is a problem to be solved, load balancing technology is to solve the problem and of generation. In this paper, load balance technology carries on the comprehensive analysis, and its classification, and analyses the access type load balance and switch type load balancing principle and realization method. Summarizes the load balance of the key technology is how to measure the load and how to correctly decision to reduce risk to switch. According to the characteristics of the CAPWAP, analyzes the CAPWAP in the structure of the characteristics of load balance. To access respectively of load balance and switching type load balancing algorithm was used to optimize the structure of the paper CAPWAP load balance optimization algorithm is given. Through the simulation results proved the validity of this algorithm. For load balancing realization of the existence of the three key aspects:how to measure the load, load information update strategy and scheduling algorithm respectively for research.
