Warehouse management and control system(WMCS) integrates the functions of warehouse management and operation control, and is an indispensable component of the logistics system and modern integrated manufacturing system. It can meet the various requirements of modern logistics system for automation, informationization and intellectualization. Under the wave of industry 4.0 and mobile Internet, people put forward a lot of new requirements for WMCS: system integration with enterprises and realization of information sharing; more diversified and open client platform; higher real-time control, smarter operation and more complete customer service. Today’s WMCS urgently needs to satisfy the above requirements, so further researches and designs in various aspects are needed.In the paper, a Web-based WMCS is researched and designed by closely combining the characteristics of modern WMCS, namely much quantity of operation,huge information flow, complex hardware equipment and the customer orientation,and realizing the goals of WMCS, that is high reliability, easy extension and easy integration. The system is based on service-oriented architecture and open mode of client platform and can effectively solve the above problems. The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1)Designing the Service-oriented Warehouse Management and Monitoring System ArchitectureBased on an analysis of the system, the distributed WMCS system based on Service-oriented Architecture(SOA) was developed, to achieve the frame modeling,workflow modeling, service modeling and monitoring modeling of the WMCS system and ensure the distributed reuse and agile integration of software.Moreover, a customer-oriented model was built to add some customer service modules to increase customer confidence.(2)Building the Warehouse Operation Module based on Real-time Web TechnologyOn the basis of studying the storage device SDK(Software Development Kit)and Object-oriented SDK package,the union communication foundation was built.Under the B / S(Browser / Server) architecture, the real-time web technology was used to develop a component model for real-time communication in warehouse operation. Moreover, based on web communication components, a warehouse monitoring process was designed to achieve visual monitoring of the inventory,equipment operation and job state.(3)Studying Logistic Business Integration Technology SolutionIn view of independent software systems of enterprises, the whole-process logistics solution was studied and the service-oriented method was used to design a solution for integrating the WMCS systems with other enterprise systems, such as the ERP system, financial system and transport system. The MOM(Message-oriented Middleware) was used to achieve the order data integration of the WMCS system with the ERP system.(4)Implementing the Warehouse Management and Monitoring SystemBased on a design of the overall system architecture, various component modules and workflow, a WMCS system was developed under the MVC(Model-View-Controller) architecture. The WMCS system was tested and applied in enterprises, to verify the stability and effectiveness of the system.
