Research & Application Of Partnership Of Business Process Management And Service Oriented Architecture

With the advancements of technology, business trends and styles are also changing. A number of variations also have been developed in the style and structure of the development of business oriented applications. These changes are so rapid and fast that it is becoming quite difficult for the business enterprises to be harmonized with these changes. Modern business requirements need a continuous process of synchronized effort to digest business alterations and variations. Modern solutions like Business Process Management(BPM) and Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) has done a great job for business and IT administrators. BPM is a discipline that can handle issues: document processing, accommodating dynamic changes, monitoring processes’ evaluating performance, etc. On the other side, SOA is an architectural approach that enables the creation of loosely couple, interoperable business services that can be easily shared within and between enterprises.BPM is a natural complement to SOA, and a mechanism through which an organization can apply SOA to high-value business challenges. Both SOA and BPM can each be pursued without the other, but the two approaches in concert offer reciprocal benefits. An organization can adopt a service-oriented approach to its architecture and enjoy the benefits of flexibility, reuse, and adaptability SOA confers, but applying that architecture to higher-value business challenges through BPM yields more measurable return on investment and greater direct impact to the business. Similarly, BPM by itself provides real business value, but SOA eases the integration burden for process solutions and provides technologies to manage the technical service components involved in a business process, increasing reuse and improving governance and manageability. Therefore a convergence of BPM and SOA is the inevitable trend for IT enterprise.In this thesis, we will introduce about basic concept of BPM, SOA. In addition, we indicate enterprise integration which can provide flexibility to the system and let the business choose best parts for their needs. We analyze the convergence of BPM and SOA thereby to see the importance of the convergence. Finally, we propose architecture using several frameworks for the convergence of BPM and SOA. In addition, We implement code for loan approval process using proposed architecture.
